Our fifteen-day itinerary through the Coast, the Andes and the Jungle will allow you to discover Peru and glimpse its marvelous variety. On the way you will observe sea-lions in their natural habitat and enjoy a few days in Tambopata, an extremely bio-diverse region of the Amazon Jungle. Then you will visit Cusco and the famous Machupicchu Inca Citadel. On the final part of the trip you will experience the magic of Lake Titicaca and the extreme remoteness and peace of the altiplano in an exclusive Alpaca Ranch.
Our private transport picks you up from the airport to take you to the hotel in Lima. Depending on your international flight arrival time, you may be able to visit the city and enjoy its fabulous cuisine in one of its many restaurants.

A free morning in Lima allows you to rest and recover from the long trip. Early in the afternoon our transport takes you on a four hour drive through the desert to the Paracas National Reserve, where you find the time to relax and enjoy the ocean views, while having a tasty Pisco Sour or a sweet Algarrobina at the cozy hotel terrace.

After an early wake-up and breakfast, it is time to board the boat that takes you to the Ballestas Islands, where you watch different bird species and sea lions in their natural habitat. On the way back to Paracas, you get to see the “Candelabro”, a candelabra-shaped giant drawing on one of the desert hills facing the ocean. Once you are back on land, you still have time to visit the National Reserve by car, admiring its wonderful rock formations, which have been shaped by the sea and wind over thousands of years. Early in the afternoon you start the journey back to Lima.

The flight from Lima to the town of Puerto Maldonado is approximately 2 hours long, with a short stop in the Cusco airport. On arrival, a representative of the lodge is waiting to take you to the river pier to board the lodge’s motor boat. The duration of the boat ride depends entirely on the lodge you choose, but it is usually about two hours. After lunch you begin the jungle activities. You may hike through the narrow trails, looking for exotic plants and hidden animals; navigate on beautiful oxbow lakes, populated by caimans, piranhas and plenty of bird species; or use the lodge facilities, such as an observation tower or a hanging bridge crossing the canopy. After dinner, you still have the opportunity to go for a last hike and try to find the numerous animals sneaking in the darkness of the night.

After a tasty breakfast, the boat is waiting to take you back to the airport, from where you fly to Cusco. First the capital of the fabulous Inca Empire, and then an important town during the Spanish settlement, the Cusco streets are a fascinating mixture of Inca and colonial architecture. After lunch, your private guide meets you at the hotel to start your visit to the city. On the way you will stop in the Sun Temple, the Cathedral and the nearby Inca Ruins. A wide variety of restaurants allow you to enjoy a tasty dinner before retiring to the hotel.

Only a one-hour drive separates Cusco from the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where the famous giant corn has been grown since pre-Inca times. Your guide leads you through the impressive Pisac ruins and the traditional market with the same name. After lunch in an exclusive private Hacienda, your transport takes you to Ollantaytambo, the only original Inca town still populated and alive. After visiting the ruins you have time to relax and enjoy the afternoon at the hotel in the Sacred Valley.

The train to Aguas Calientes departs very early in the morning. After almost two hours by train and 25 minutes by bus, you arrive at the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu. Your guide leads you through the ruins, explaining every part and building. After the guided visit, you have time to walk around the ruins by yourselves, climb up the Wayna Picchu, or just relax and enjoy the beautiful views. Probably the best time to really appreciate the magic of Machupicchu is the afternoon, when the most of the visitors have left and the sun-light is especially beautiful when hitting the Citadel Walls and Gardens. The last bus down to Aguas Calientes is at about 5:30pm. Unless you prefer to spend the night at the luxury lodge near the ruins.

During this free morning you may be up for a second visit to the citadel by your own, or perhaps you will rather stay in Aguas Calientes and just relax. The early afternoon train takes you back to Cusco, where you arrive early enough to rest from the trip and still enjoy a great dinner in one of the fancy Cusco restaurants.

Early in the morning you are picked up from your hotel to start the long trip to Puno (unless you want to fly). On the way you will be able to visit many interesting places, such as the picturesque Andahuaylillas town and church, the Racchi Inca ruins, La Raya mountain pass, and the Pucara Museum. If you are interested, there is the chance to visit an extraordinary colonial town, located out of the regular route. On arrival in Puno, you will finally relax at your hotel.

Our transport picks you up from the hotel to take you in just a few minutes to the Puno pier, where the Titicaca Lake adventure begins. The first brief stop allows you to see the picturesque reed islands of the Uros people. Later you disembark on the Taquile Island. Far away from the tourist crowds you find the space to interact with the local people and learn something about their way of life, their art expressions (specially the textile art), and their traditional food. After a nice hike across the Island, our motor boat awaits to navigate back to Puno.

Today you leave Puno and continue your trip towards the next destination, the exclusive Mallkini ranch. Remote dirt tracks guide you to the comfortable hacienda. In the afternoon, Moises, our ranch manager and Alpaca expert, gives you a short introduction to the alpaca breeding and the purpose of the ranch. Then you may be in the mood for a short walk along native-tree forests, for a horseback ride to a small lagoon, or perhaps for a quiet rest in the house terrace. No matter what you choose, the lonely and peaceful landscapes amaze you with their breathtaking beauty. At night you enjoy a delicious dinner and have the chance to gather around a nice warm fire.

The recommendation for today is to get up really early and watch the sunrise over the “altiplano”. After a succulent breakfast you may ride on our short but strong horses and start your way to find one of the Alpaca Herds in the heights of the ranch. If you are not a horse person, we will be glad to drive you in one of our 4WD vehicles to the boundaries of the ranch. After lunch and a well deserved rest, the horses or vehicle are ready for you to start the short way to Sorani. There you have the chance to learn more about the Alpaca investigation towards the achievement of better alpaca breeding techniques.

This is your last day at the ranch. We are not in a hurry, so you can take your time for breakfast, after which its time to say goodbye to the local hosts and take the road back to Juliaca. After a two hours flight, you arrive in Lima, where you spend the night.

After breakfast your guide picks you up from the hotel and takes you to visit the Lima citadel. Despite a general belief saying that Lima has not much to offer, during this morning you will note that this city has an impressive past and history to learn about. Your guide will lead you to the main square, the San Francisco Colonial Church and Monastery, and to the Casa Aliaga, an exceptional colonial house, which was once inhabited by one of the conquerors and that has been owned by the same family until today. Then you will visit shortly the residential areas of San Isidro and Miraflores. At the proper time, our transport will take you to the airport to take your flight back home.

Suasi is a secluded island located off the beaten path in the north-eastern section of Lake Titicaca. This island features one of the most beautiful eco-lodges in Peru. This program is perfect for the traveler who wants to enjoy the marvels of nature at Lake Titicaca, far from the crowd, while enjoying a high level of service and comfort.
Our transport picks you up from the hotel to take you in just a few minutes to the Puno pier, and begin the motor-boat trip. The first brief stop allows you to see the picturesque reed islands of the Uros people. Later you disembark on the Taquile Island, where you walk a little in the surrounding area and see the people wearing their traditional dress. You arrive at the hotel on Suasi Island to enjoy a delicious lunch on the beach. In the afternoon you have time to walk, kayak, or simply relax. The option of a relaxing massage is highly recommended.

There are many theories concerning the origin of the Nazca lines, however, the mystery has still not been completely unraveled. Early in the morning you will take a boat to the Ballestas Islands. During the trip you admire the famous picture of the candelabra, and observe different species of sea lions and birds. Upon the return to the hotel you get ready for a trip of approximately 45 minutes to the Ica airport, where you take the flight over the Nazca lines. After the flight, you have time to enjoy lunch, before continuing with the drive back to Lima.
